Gators hockey is finally back in action tonight. After a long wait, the new and improved Gators team is ready to finally show off their talents. Both player evaluations have been complete and the rosters for both divisional teams have been set; so, let’s have a look at what the Gators are up against tonight in Daytona Beach.
Although their roster has not been officially published yet, the Embry-Riddle Eagles are a team that will always surprise. Their last matchup against UF saw them beating out the Gators by a score of 6-2. In that season, they recorded above a .500 record going 15-12-2.

This is also the first game of the season for both teams. This is going to be a huge test to see how each team will come together and build chemistry on the ice. Expect both teams to be a little sloppy at first, but the talent and depth that the Gators have on their roster will surely come together as the game moves along.
If you are interested in attending the game in Daytona Beach the game will be held at the Daytona Ice Arena, which is about a two-hour drive from campus. Tickets to the game will be sold at the door of the arena for eight dollars each. The DII game will take place at 7:00pm and the DIII puck drop will be at 9:30pm.
If you would like to watch the game from the comfort of your own dorm room, the game will be streamed on the ERAU Hockey YouTube channel.
